The Old Internet: Experience the 90's Internet Again

The World Wide Web is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month, but do you ever miss the golden age of the Internet? Back when every website had an Under Construction gif, a dancing baby and an ear-bleeding Midi file blasting at you?

In the latest episode of The Retro Hour podcast, Dan, Ravi and Joe discussed their earliest experiences of using the Web.

theoldnet.com is a project to take you back to those early days of the WWW. Pulling in results from the Wayback Machine, this new website strips away all of the modern scripting language that archive.org usually insert, meaning you can browse the 90's Internet again on your retro machine!

Using a simple drop down menu, you can visit your favourite websites from the past as far back as 1994.

The Old Internet Again describe their mission as an attempt to restore vintage web browsing on vintage computers, and it certainly works well.
